Advances, Innovations and Solutions for Older Persons
Gerontological Association of Malaysia (GeM) was founded in 1991 with the aim of promoting national awareness on old age and ageing issues and concerns. It is a professional fraternity of individuals who are working in or interested with the f i e l d of gerontology – a multi-disciplinary discipline that examines the biological, medical, psychological, social, economic, cultural, technology and environmental aspects of human ageing. GeM is a registered body with the Registrar of Societies and is managed by an elected Executive Committee. GeM is affiliated with the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG).
(MINDS) is the largest body in Malaysia representing individuals, universities and companies who pursue excellence in invention, creativity, inn-ovation, research and dev-elopment, and industrial design. MINDS i s responsible for promoting high standards of invention and design, fostering professionalism and encouraging continuing professional development amongst its members. MINDS is a member of the International Federation of Inventors’ Association (IFIA).
